Research Statement

My research interest is in improving access to care for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from traditionally underserved backgrounds by increasing caregiver engagement in autism-related services. I am also interested in parent-mediated early intervention for children with ASD, particularly as a service model for families in rural and urban communities.

My research examines strategies to improve caregiver engagement in autism-related services for traditionally underserved families. I am interested in research that leverages community-academic partnerships to design and evaluate caregiver engagement interventions in order to improve their organizational fit and sustainability, especially for families from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in rural and urban communities.
